Earning my Wings!

Tuesday, April 03, 2007

It has been a very busy period of late - almost no time to go riding which is disastrous as that was my main objective for changing careers! However, I have been fortunate to have some lovely people to talk to who are keen for me to help with suggestions on their forthcoming safari holidays. It is also the busiest period at SWT (where I help as a volunteer) as all the Hebridean sheep are lambing in the next three weeks.

I have been renewing my presentation skills and am now happy to visit local groups or clubs for an evening of entertainment. My slide show presentation contains some great photographs and the talk expands on the stories and my time spent in various African countries over the past two decades. If you would like me to come and talk to your group, please get in touch:

Thanks also to the Lewis family who recently invited us to stay and looked after us for the day. It was great to be waited on hand and foot - just like being in Africa except that it was pouring with rain! Thanks to Alex for showing me how to take off and land in a small Cessna aircraft. Whilst Alex was a real star and I'd be happy to see him at the control, I'm not quite ready for my maiden flight especially if there are any trees near the airstrip!

And you just never know... I may turn up for your safari client visit in one of these. What do you think?!
