From Skiing back to Safaris

Saturday, February 14, 2009

Christmas is long gone, and my winter ski boots are hung up for another year! It is time to do some work and organise those tailor-made safaris. Returning from the Destinations Travel Show in Earls Court, London I have plenty of enquiries to respond to. It was lovely to meet up again with so many familiar friends, past clients and hopefully some new ones too.

The challenge is on to find that ideal combination of a good value safari but one that also provides you with the wildlife experience that suits you and your travelling companions. Cheap is not always best, even in the current financial climate. You need to look carefully at what you get for your money. How will you travel around? How many hours driving and sitting airports? What is the chance of seeing your favourite animal? What is the accommodation really like? I recommend you seek advice from independent experts: like me!

The evenings are pulling out which means I can exercise my horse for longer and still fit in answering all your safari questions. He is definitely looking forward to the spring when he can lose his rugs and enjoy the fields not being so icy, muddy and cold!
