Three Slideshows and a Funeral

Monday, April 13, 2009

In the last couple of months both Volter and I have been busy. I am on the circuit presenting slideshows on Two Decades in Africa whilst he is pulling the hearse around the churchyards of Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. Following hot on the heels of the local Rotary Club, the last group I addressed was the Dalham and Gazely WI: a lovely group of women, a lively and attentive audience and they certainly make good cheese straws!

Volter meanwhile is losing his winter coat and is looking quite splendid, blacker by the day. All thanks are due to the coachman and yard owner, Mike Daniell, without whom none of this would be possible.

As I write the first of the Suffolk Wildlife Trust lambs are being born. So talks are on hold for a bit while I give the shepherd a hand over the next few weeks.
